Meter Upgrade Information


Contractor

Utility Metering Solutions (UMS) is the contractor that will be performing your meter upgrade. UMS is an experienced meter installation services company and all UMS installers will have a valid ID, wear UMS uniforms, and travel in vehicles with a UMS logo.

Residence or Business

Because your meter is located inside your residence or business, we need your help providing access to the meter. Utilizing the form on this page is the best way to schedule an appointment to have the upgrade completed.

Appointment

You will be asked to schedule an appointment spanning a two-hour block of time. The installation technician will arrive to complete the meter upgrade work within the two-hour time frame. You can expect the upgrade process to take between 30 and 60 minutes to complete.

UMS is committed to keeping your data secure and confidential. The only party we share your information with is your utility company.

Access

UMS will need access to the service line and existing meter area inside your home or business

Clear of Obstacles

This area should be clear of obstacles and easily accessible. Related plumbing valves should be in working order.

During Installation

The presence of a responsible adult (18 years old or older) must be in attendance and pets must be secured. This is required during the installation.
